In August 2010 three Maidenhead United fans were banned from attending home games, by a kangaroo court, for crimes they didn't commit.
These men promptly encountered a jobsworth security blockade, and so escaped to the non-league underground.
Today, still stigmatised by the MUFC Ltd hierarchy, they survive as supporters of fancy.
If you enjoy a train away day - and if you can find them - then maybe you can share a drink with ... the K-team!

Drax Mark 5

Yesterday's 4-1 win over Woking in the FA Cup was a remarkable way to mark Johnson Hippolyte's five-year anniversary as Maidenhead United manager.

Drax actually sums things up rather nicely on the back page of the Advertiser:

Not too sure about some of the Chairman's comments, inside the paper, though:

“When we've had a bit more money in the budget, he's done really well and managed that”

“And when the budget has been cut he's done well with that as well”

Well, well, well ;-)

“(He) loves to try and develop younger players”

“The crop we have now are the most exciting yet”

No need to increase the budget any time soon then...
